Dubai Municipality has announced that four public beaches in the emirate will be reserved exclusively for families during the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations.

From 30 November to 3 December, Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah Beach 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2 will host families seeking a safe and enjoyable holiday experience.

Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Waterways Department, explained the decision: “Dedicating public beaches to families during the Union Day holiday aims to regulate visitor numbers and ensure a family-friendly environment at some of Dubai’s top tourist destinations.”

This initiative aligns with Dubai Municipality’s mission to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors by offering well-maintained recreational spaces.

Enhanced safety measures

To ensure a secure environment, 135 safety and rescue personnel, equipped with advanced equipment, have been deployed across the designated beaches. A 60-member supervisory team will oversee beach operations, maintaining safety and smooth execution during the holiday period.

In collaboration with strategic partners, Dubai Municipality aims to monitor all activities effectively, prioritising comfort and well-being.

Dubai Municipality, responsible for managing the emirate’s canals and beaches, emphasises ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure and enhance services. Its objective is to provide a superior recreational experience for residents, tourists, and families.

“This initiative reflects our dedication to creating family-friendly spaces and contributing to the happiness and well-being of all,” the Municipality stated.
